Terms of Service
Last updated: June 12, 2026
1. The service
SEO Operator (“the service”, “we”, “us”) analyzes websites you connect, generates SEO and content recommendations grounded in your brand, and — only when you approve — stages changes as drafts (for example a GitHub pull request or a WordPress draft). The service never publishes anything on its own. You review, you approve, you merge or publish. You are responsible for everything you choose to ship.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the service. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You may only connect websites and accounts (Google Search Console, GitHub, WordPress, Linear) that you own or are authorized to manage.
3. Plans, billing, and refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan includes monthly usage quotas (sites, crawls, AI generations, data lookups); when a quota is reached the related feature pauses until the next monthly reset or an upgrade. You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't issue prorated refunds for partial months. Founding-cohort pricing is locked for as long as the subscription remains active and lapses if it is canceled. We may change plan pricing or quotas with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
4. Connected services and tokens
When you connect a third-party account, you grant the service permission to use that connection on your behalf — for example reading Search Console data, opening draft pull requests, or creating WordPress drafts. Tokens are stored encrypted and used only to provide the features you invoke. You can disconnect an integration at any time, which stops further use of it.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to violate law, infringe others' rights, attack or overload websites you don't control, or generate content designed to deceive. We crawl the sites you add at a polite rate and only on your instruction or schedule. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or create risk for other customers.
6. Content and intellectual property
Your sites, data, and brand material remain yours. Drafts and recommendations the service generates for you are yours to use, edit, or discard. We retain ownership of the service itself — the software, models of operation, and aggregate, de-identified learnings that contain no customer-identifiable content.
7. No guarantees about search results
SEO is multivariate and search engines change constantly. We report outcomes honestly — including when a shipped change is associated with no movement or a decline — and we never promise rankings, traffic, or revenue. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.
9. Termination
You can delete your sites and stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination, your subscription ends and we delete or de-identify your workspace data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for billing records or by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll notify active customers (in-app or by email) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
